Maths is a beautiful thing, but between operations that beauty is lost. It would be so much more fun for students that are struggling with this subject if they did something artistic once in a while, just to relieve the stress. I found this video some time ago that caught my attention explaining pi's beauty in the best way I could've thought. Enjoy!
It is strange, that while mathematics is a compulsory school subject there is little emphasis in school curriculums to allow space for us just to engage with the ideas on a purely enjoyable level aside. The focus is primarily on building specific operational skills. Thank goodness there are people like those on Numberphile who are willing to share their enthusiasm for mathematical ideas and inspire us to keep exploring. Thanks for posting this Paula! :)
